This Discover Wisconsin short takes us to the rolling valleys and fertile fields of Sauk County, where the land itself has influenced agriculture, inspired unique ventures, and imbued a spirit of authenticity and community pride. We’ll visit Tower Rock Farmstead and Bakery. Four generations of the Gasser Family have lovingly stewarded this land. In the bakery, you’ll find breads, cookies, pies and more, made from scratch, with wheat grown just a few steps away. We’ll chat with Master Cheesemaker Sid Cook, whose family has been making artisan cheese for over 100 years. Carr Valley Cheese is dedicated to tradition, sustainability, and sourcing quality milk from local farms. Join us as we savor the rich flavors of Sauk County, and celebrate its agricultural heritage and land-made craftmanship.
