Cave of Zeus: His Secret Place in Güzelçamlı, Turkey

Zeus Mağarası or Cave of Zeus is a famous cave located at the town of Güzelçamlı in Kuşadası, Turkey. It has clear and blue-green water (a mix of fresh and saltwater) in a shape of a pool making it more popular with locals and tourists alike.

According to mythology, this was Zeus' hiding place where he used to swim with village girls away from the prying eyes of his wife, Hera. Another version says this was where he would take refuge when he angered his brother and god of the sea, Poseidon.
