Greetings folks. In this video I give you an introduction to the concept of the 5 Room Dungeon, and excellent tool that you can use to give your players a full dungeon experience in a single session.

Perfect for one shots, or two keep to the side ready for when your players next go off into the wilds unexpectedly.

Ive always used the 5rooms dungeon idea but never realised it!

The idea Im currently trying to pull off is that my group of heroes will actually be forced into the dungeon by the hostile encounters. The session will play out as defending a stronghold and the secret goal of the players is to make sure that the Prince wont be killed (which will be the boss in the bossfight roon lets say)

Yeah think 5 room dungeons are amazing.

What I like to do for an adventure is string together several 5 room dungeons. So for example getting to the Dungeon is a '5 room dungeon' (Travel, goblins, gate to the dungeon etc), then the dungeon itself has several seperate sections, each of which are their own 5 room dungeon areas.

Can you explain "The setback" a little more, please? Give a few more examples, maybe?

I have a five room dungeon that I didn’t even realize was one. The reluctant Medusa. Reply if you want details.

I don't feel like you really explained the five room dungeon, just talked about the benefits of it in a campaign
