THESE LISTS OF SKINCARE TO AVOID ARE USELESS 😬 DERMATOLOGIST @DrDrayzday on why apps like Yuka and Think Dirty that tell you what skin care ingredients and skin care products to avoid are not helpful. I discuss the flawed logic around fear mongering against skincare safety and safe skin care ingredients. #skincare #skincareproducts #dermatologist

Cosmetics industry is so large that you can’t trust anyone, but also including youtubers who make money from it, well…world is a crazy place

I used to fall for the "clean beauty " tricks, and honestly maybe it's not objective but ever since I started to follow your advices my skin never looked better

Behind the Yuka app, there is no chemist, no toxicologist, no biologist, no dermatologist, no doctor.

“Clean” beauty wrecked my skin, and the only reason it looks the way it does now is because I’ve only been using skincare you stand by for the past ~ 2.5 years. Still have a long way to go, but man it’s created an immense difference. It also helped me figure out my severe allergy to fragrances, both natural and artificial. Thanks for helping me on my skincare journey and educating the internet!

“They were everywhere in our time, controlled by those who taught them to fear what didn’t threaten them…..” (excerpt from Quinn Quicksilver). Perfect description of a fear monger! Thanks Dr. Dray for putting hype in its proper place. Love your common sense with the logic of science to back it.

A former coworker tried to convince me I should buy her MLM skincare because it "wasn't safe" for me to use my retinoids considering my basal cell carcinoma.🤦‍♀️ I was like, "Thanks for the offer, but I think I'm gonna stick with what my dermatologist said."

I had the urticaria you described as a child. I grew up on a lake, and experienced it when swimming when I got in cold water - or in the winter in snow. It was truly odd, but once we knew what it was, my parents knew how to handle this unusual issue for me. I still have it in extreme cold.

I remember reading somewhere that you shouldn't use water-based products during the winter because the water in it will freeze on top of your skin 😂 So there you go. Like usual, thank you for an excellent video Dr 👍

I just DMd you on IG about this yesterday! So glad your working hard to educate us laymen about these ingredients.

Hi Dr. Dray!! ☺️ Very informative video! Btw, I would absolutely love it if you were to do a video about the Yamanaka factors on the skin (for anti aging, using only three of the factors). 👍

Happy Tuesday 🤍 today I was reading about skincare ingredients so your video is very helpful! I'm recently struggling with my skin, it looks pretty bad :(

Yes! I've also seen the "clean beauty" people say that is you don't recognise/can't pronounce the ingredient then you should avoid it, I wonder how they feel about dihydrogen monoxide 🙄

Absolutely agree, it’s the financial benefit for these brands/groups/organizations who are competitors will try to steal marketshare by slandering others. It’s not ethical and unfortunately still happens.

Dr you are 100% correct, here recently my parents were trying to convince me that the an ingredient in sunscreens causes cancer. It’s always so surprising on what fear mongered information reaches an audience
