I feel like I’m the only one who hasn’t read Scythe yet ahh

I love The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet (aka Wayfarers) series! I have read the three books currently published and will be starting the novella soon. Scythe is an awesome series too, although I haven't read the last book yet (definitely a 2020 TBR). I might pick up The Furies. I feel like people have either been loving or hating it, but I always try to give books a shot to form my own opinions.

I need you to read Into The Drowning Deep, I feel like you’d enjoy that ♥️

A Dance with Dragons is the reason why I was SO irritated with the television show. Because the book is so good, and the show at that point diverged so much that it destroyed those plot lines. Sigh.

The Furies is rated so low on Goodreads, but as someone who hit peak adolescence in the 90s, and was obsessed with The Craft, I feel like I have to read it. Argh.

Scythe was SO GOOD. So was Thunderhead. I don't want to talk about The Toll.

Oh gosh, I grew up on 28 Days Later as my go-to horror movie, that actually makes me interested in Illuminae for the first time haha.

The audiobook for You is awesome!!! It's narrated by an actor named Santino Fontana (who I'm sure many will recognize as the voice of Hans in Frozen). And he does such a good job with it. It's exactly like you say - you find yourself rooting for Joe. I remember at point being like, "Omg Joe get out of there!!!" And then being like, "Wait... you're a stalker. I want you to get caught." Lol

I struggle to rank my favourite books, but I think my most surprising favourite of last year was Into the Drowning Deep because it's more horror than I normally like (outside of paranormal/ghosts), but it's a book that's stuck with me all year.

My favorites were Crime and Punishment, His Majesty's Dragons, and If we were Villains.

With the Cosmere readalong happening I anticipate your 2020 favourites will be full of Brandon Sanderson 😏😏

I think everyone had a really meh reading year in 2019. Most booktubers have said something similar and I also had a so so reading year. I also had a hard time picking my top 10 favorites because I was just like... "i only gave like 9 books 5 stars and even then i feel meh about them" so it was a hard list to make.

Even if the Wayfarers books touch on darker topics, they always have a very hopeful note and that is what I think makes them so comforting to read

I love Howl's Moving Castle and all of its sequels - she is one of my favorite authors. My favorite of the year was also a surprise to me - The Bookish Life of Nina Hill - I am a fantasy and mystery reader so was surprised that my top 3 books were not in those categories

Some of my favourites in 2019 were A Curse So Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer, Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare, Say Her Name by James Dawson and the first eight books of the Shade of Vampire series by Bella Forrest (I need to read the rest of the books as theres about over 80 so far but I've only got to book 8) and I love Bella Forrest so so much. Also by her is the first two books in the Shade of Kiev trilogy. Need to get the third book and then that's done but again, I love Bella Forrest 😍😍😍😍
