Gear used: Fender American Professional Stratocaster HSS, Dr. Z Z-Wreck, Shure sm57, Universal Audio Apollo Twin, Protools.

New from Seafoam Pedals is the Trident Overdrive, a powerful blending of overdrive and a three-band equalizer. There are three “classic green overdrive” circuits in this pedal: one for bass, one for mids and one for treble. Each circuit has its own drive knob, volume knob and frequency switch. The drive controls go from very clean to an aggressive crunch, allowing different amounts of overdrive on each EQ band. The volume knobs have plenty of headroom to boost or cut like a traditional EQ and the frequency switches select how high or low that EQ band reaches. These controls make it easy to mimic classic circuits or sculpt a very unique tone with a variety of guitars and amps. The Trident overdrive features internal voltage doubling from a standard 9v power supply, silent soft-touch true bypass switching and top-mounted jacks. I appreciate the detailed demonstration...I'm not hearing a lot of overdrive...it's almost kind of a clean sound dragging some fuzz behind the clean tone...this was the best demo of this pedal on its own and not being used by other unknown effects....it's to thick for me...this is the way a pedal should be demoed...completely on its own...an honest demo that you don't usually get

One question - what about a master volume? I ask because after getting the sound I like and finding the unity gain sweet spot, I have to re-find unity gain and turn three knobs to do it if I want to change the sound by changing the volume and drive levels of the individual bands. I know that I could adjust the volume knob on the guitar or amp but ...

Hi Dave, I would like to tell you that the pedals they have sound spectacular. I particularly like this pedal because it is very versatile, the low gain sound that you show in your favorite settings is very good and very similar to Lowtide. With the trident can you get high gain shades such as JHS Angry Charlie?
