Thanks for the update, other medications should be reviewed too, I have seen a great effect from isoprinosine, perhaps due to its effect in interleukins and RNA replication, specially if started early, but the response to it is relevant, haven't seen major RCT on this before as is a new condition. The thing with isoprinosine is that it has been use for other viral conditions, and has a relatively benign pharmacological profile, except for pregnancy, CKD, and high blood uric acid conditions. In the studied cases so far, with mild symptoms, in most cases saw a shortened clinical course, and for severe covid cases, with all the cases reviewed with the drug started within the first 48 h and also receiving zinc, not vitamin D or hydroxychloroquine, and some have receive an initial course of dexamethasone, there is an impressive clinical turnaround I have also seen one case that presented itself more than 3 months after the first infection, previously treated with isoprinosine and was treated with isoprinosine again, and showed a faster clinical resolution.
