'Edge of tomorrow' is a great piece of sci-fi. Tom Cruise is less annoying than usual too.... Enjoy!

Nice pickups! I enjoyed the stories behind the purchases. I also found Edge of Tomorrow Blu-ray and Romper Stomper (though it was a 2 disc DVD) recently. Good call on actress from Licorice Pizza. Knew she looked familiar. Missed it in the theatres, but still want to see it.

Some good ones here. The Social Network is an entertaining watch. Picked up Romper Stomper myself. Nice little box set. And not a bad movie at all. I haven’t yet watched this transfer yet though, but from memory (regarding a post here earlier) I think this one always had a blue tint to it.

Great video John, I swear when I watched the lego batman (great movie) there is a split second shot of the bat car with the number plate as "Wayne car" 😲🤣 brilliant bit of adult humour in a kids movie!

Hello John
Another good video mate, i picked that romper blu ray last week I wasn't going to pick it up as I thought 25 bills was a bit steep on a blu ray but like you I think its an exceptionally good movie, I think the transfer was canny but its abit heavy on the blue hue colour. Did you notice that?

Hey John mate, really nice haul of movies. Big Bad Wolves is a really good movie and YES it is quite brutal. Obviously I have it in my collection as I collect anything brutal, disturbing and beyond. Romper Stomper is a classic. Have you seen the movie The Believer with Ryan Gosling? I highly recommend it if you ever see it. Great video mate 😀😀😀👍✌️❤️👏

Another great video! In one of your next videos could you please show how exactly you get the stickers off the slips using lighter fuel? I want to try it but worried I'll damage the slip covers, thanks!

Surprised you haven't seen The Social Network yet, it's one of those infinitely rewatchable movies.
Licorice Pizza is a first good again movie from a once favorite director of mine, P.T. Anderson. I absolutely love Boogie Nights and Magnolia, Hard Eight before those, and Punch-drunk Love and There Will be Blood after, are also good, but everything later was just worse and worse. The Master is pretty boring, Inherent Vice is pointless and borderline unwatchable, despite an a great cast and being set in 70s Los Angeles - gotta be a genius director to screw up something with that much potential. So I didn't even bother watching his Phantom Thread.
Gave Licorice Pizza a chance, overcoming an incredibly displeasing to the eye 'actress', and glad I did, it's definitely back to form for Anderson, as he managed to make even such a nonprofessional actress, and obnoxious leading character, sympathetic, with true retro atmosphere, as you've already noticed yourself.

You got Romper Stomper! I've just ordered it, finally, as this movie has been recommended to me as long as I can remember, on VHS at Blockbuster, on DVD, etc, and I still haven't watched it to this day. But such an interesting looking edition, and the fact I'm in the process of adding to the collection movies with favorite actors from the 80's and 90's, it was time to get it.

Great vid as always matey.

Just to let you know there is a sequel to the Nut Job.

I think it's called The Nut Job 2 : Where's me ladders 🪜!

Also, Big Bad Wolves is great, I saw it at a film festival back in 2011 or 2012. Its an Israeli thriller, think Prisoners but with added dark humour.
