This is Claudio Quartarone's guitar technique. I believe he had a significant influence on Matteo Mancuso; they are both Sicilian.

I've got a Yamaha Pac 612 which I purchased second hand for a cheap price and I like it better (easier to play for ME) than my USA Fender strat 98 (also quite nice guitar, but more expensive).

Matteo is a genius no doubt. In this particular performance the sound mixer killed his sound at 1:53 right after his intro - and basically ruined what he was playing. A bad muddy mix.
BTW his surname is pronounced MancuZo.

I've seen over 100 videos of him on Youtube plus his album and they are all exceptional but him playing "you really got me" has very little value, too easy for him, it is like picking nose for us, he could have done it in his sleep. the second clip is more like an exercise, you can see some technical abilities but not all his genius and musicality. Please try the hundreds of other videos that are much better.
