THIS BRINGS BACK MEMORIES LOL. I hate going to the Apple store and have the kids talk to me like I don't know anything. I've been using apple computers since before they were born! :) I just want them to get my stuff LOL

@shubus I used to stock software from Beagle Brothers at the store I worked at -- they had such great cartoons. One of my favorite was that labelled "Early Synthesizer" and they had a box with cats in it, and when you pressed a key, it hit the cat on the head. Too funny. Yes, as I will be doing as well, let's unbox that Apple II stuff!

@shubus Remember the program "Locksmith" LOL! And the Integer card was a beast, with that hard reset in addition to that board that let you take a complete snapshot of RAM. It was much more fun back then. Now, PC's, as well as 'post PC devices' are 'appliances' -- Google is 'Big Brother', and the 'next big thing' in my opinion, will be getting yourself OFF of the grid!

@DRBUK Adrian, if you were -4, you were a protein structure in a candy bar, or something like that. Don't worry, more 'old stuff' coming.

It really is fascinating that we've gone from 5 1/4-sized disks that held 360k (depending on format) to pocket-sized devices that hold 8+ GB. I personally have a crapload of MS-DOS Software (including a copy of OS/2 2.0 in near-mint condition with the manuals and so on), but for some reason the floppy drives on all of my antique machines have died horribly...Perhaps i'm cursed? :/

Also, nice glass! I can imagine that thing must have looked spectacular in any self-respecting storefront.

Tape the cuts to be able to write to the 5 1/4 and 3 1/2" .. 'join AOL' disks, remember those? Free storage by mail, it was awesome.

Al, I can't remember exactly how Apple II disk images get online, but there's an Apple II emulator on my PC with a small software library...

You think the software writers will mind ;) ?
