U just knew tonight would be a struggle getting energy and scoring after putting up a TD vs Bolts where EVERYTHING found the goal- Hats off to Jarry too, he made the big stops to keep this in reach early. That's what he hasn't done, that's what he needs to do if we're going to make it 17 straight playoff appearances! Let's go Pens!

The Penguinos have been streaky. Up and down. That's why they own records like the fastest 5 goals and the most consecutive wins. They do things reeeeally big or small. Same for all Pittsburgh sports it seems. Steelers and Pens were a joke until they became dynasties. The pirates actually won 5 world series and now they own the record for most consecutive losing seasons. The Steelers have had 19 consecutive non losing seasons. Pens have made the playoffs in like 17 straight years i think. Being a Pittsburgh fan just be like that.

The key down the stretch will be limiting the long "pointless" swoons that could derail us with not much time to make up for it. Lots of games left, and quite a few teams all around the wild card spots and a position we're not used to seeing Pens in. Usually we've got a 10pt plus cushion between us and the last playoff team, maybe this is what we need to bring egos back down to Earth. League is getting faster and younger, Pens will be motivated to show they still have something to show the new kids in town. If we are hoping to get in and win a playoff series for 1st time in 5 seasons...only we can't be that 8th seed because Boston looking downright unbeatable

As a Preds fan, I’m not upset about this loss at all to be honest. I’m just glad that I can now watch this team and have GENUINE FUN. We finally decided to ditch the whole “competitive rebuild” BS and now we have an experienced young team, but they’re so fast and a joy to watch on the ice. I think this team has a really bright future, go Preds!
