Georgia Tennant stars in Jenny – The Doctor’s Daughter: Saving Time, a brand-new box set of full-cast audio drama available now from Big Finish Productions.

Jenny was created from the Doctor’s template – so it’s no wonder she finds herself in trouble. A lot. Exploring the universe with Noah, a mystery boy from nowhere, they have escaped the mercenary hunting them – but wrecked the timelines in the process.

Now Jenny must find a way to save herself, her friend, and – if they can get around to it – time itself…

Since her introduction in 2008 Doctor Who TV episode The Doctor’s Daughter, Jenny (Georgia Tennant) – the eponymous daughter – has flown off on her own adventures across space and time, including in her spin-off audio drama series.

The last time we caught up with Jenny – at the end of 2021’s Still Running – she’d only just escaped one cyborg bounty hunter, only to be pursued by another, in the form of her best friend Noah (Sean Biggerstaff).

Today’s new release, Jenny – The Doctor’s Daughter: Saving Time, picks up where that cliffhanger left off, and sets Jenny and Noah off on four brand-new adventures. Behind all of their problems this time is the evil Jexabel Glyce, the richest woman in the universe (voiced by Anna Lundberg, Tennant’s co-star from TV sitcom Staged).

The box set also features the return of two fan-favourite returning characters – Simon Fisher-Becker as supercilious black marketeer Dorium Maldovar and Stuart Milligan as slippery conman Garundel.

The four thrilling episodes in this box set are:

Florence O'Connor and the Sandwich of Doom by John Dorney

Jenny has solved her immediate problem of being hunted by the cyborg COLT-5000 bounty hunter once known as Geraldine. Jenny’s new problem is that she is being hunted by a cyborg COLT-5000 once known as her best friend, Noah.

The timelines are in chaos. There is only one way to fix things. And it involves cheese and pickle…

A Beginner's Guide to Monsters (and How to Slay Them) by Rochana Patel

Escaping the 20th century, Jenny and Noah arrive in a medieval monastery under siege – from monsters lifted from the very pages of the Bestiary the monks are working to create.

How can they possibly defeat creatures of myth and legend? With griffins, manticores, and unicorns on the loose, Jenny needs to learn fast…

Genesis of the Humans by Adrian Poynton

After another manipulation by Dorium Maldovar, Jenny and Noah find themselves on a job for the conniving conman and his partner in crime, the equally slippery Garundel.

This time, Jenny and Noah must venture inside a genetic treasure: one which holds the key to the future – and the past – of the human race. His name is Theo.

Reboot by Lizzie Hopley

Jenny and Noah finally face their new nemesis: Jexabel Glyce – the Richest Woman in the Universe. With Noah a prisoner, Jenny is trapped on an Earth owned by the Glyce brand, where everyone is encouraged to raise virtual children instead of the real thing.

Jenny faces her greatest challenge yet: saving the universe, while taking care of her Glyce-Kidz!

The guest cast of Jenny – The Doctor’s Daughter: Saving Time also includes Jessica Regan, Elizabeth Bower, Sarah Paul, David Cann, Liam Lau-Fernandez, Sophia Nomvete, Emil Joo, Imogen Daines, and George Naylor.

Producer Emma Haigh said: “It’s great to be back for more adventures with Jenny and Noah – this set sees them help a librarian with her lunch order and a couple of monks with some mythical creatures. It also brings together a couple of old adversaries, and they meet the nemesis behind all of this, along with some tiresome tots. There’s never a dull moment with Jenny and Noah!”

Script editor Matt Fitton added: “We ended on a cliffhanger last time with Jenny finally getting the Colt-5000 off her trail. But unfortunately, the consequence of changing history means that Noah is now the cyborg pursuing Jenny!

“We wanted to have Jenny’s nemesis appear – kind of the opposite of her. So, Jexabel Glyce was born. She’s somebody whose heritage has given her everything – privilege and wealth. Anna Lundberg absolutely grabbed hold of the role and it sounds fantastic when the two of them go up against each other.”

Jenny – The Doctor’s Daughter: Saving Time is now available to own as a collector’s edition CD box set (+ download) for just £29.99 and as a digital download only for £22.99, exclusively here.

All the above prices include the special pre-order discount and are subject to change after general release.

Please note: the collector’s edition CD box set is strictly limited to 1,000 copies and will not be repressed.

I just finished listening to this. It might be the best of the three box sets to date! Really fun, clever writing on all four stories, and brilliant performances by all. I’m so glad Georgia and Sean are doing these audios. While all of the supporting cast was great, a special thumbs up to Anna Lindbergh, Stuart Milligan (Garundel), and Simon Fisher-Baker (Dorium) who were just outstanding.
