Asa, the song resonates so much today, the last working day before May 29th when the cabals plan to swear in a drug lord who rigged himself into power as the president of Nigeria. I remembered when you fearlessly sang this into the face of PMB and his cahoot. Nothing has changed since then, instead worse, so much impunity and state capture of the Nigerian system. The fire is really burning hot now and how to put it off is a BIGGER task for the Nigerian people.

When cds 💿 were still used, I used to make playlists and put them in, into cds 💿. And then share with acquaintances. I was often surprised when among the favorite songs of acquaintances Asa’s songs were favorited. This one and Mr. Jailer.

CDs 💿 had new songs acquaintances never heard before some didn’t even understand english. But Asa somehow got to their core! Also Wyclef Jean - I’m ready standed out among 18 or 20 other songs.
