Thanks for the excellent knife comparison. Your reasoning regarding handling with cold handes seems to be sound and matches my observations.

In my experience Lionsteel's crowned blade spine works with a ferro rod on some knives, but not all. My M1, for example, can strike the ferro rod, the crown feels as though it was 'rolled over' and forms a burr that will scrape the rod. My B40 looks the same, but the crown on the spine is smooth and will not scrape.
Looking forward to watching more of your content!

Lionsteel makes some very high quality knives for the price and what you get for that price. Yet you always hear people complaining about the steel how Sleipner can rust or how better 3V, Cruwear and other steels are or how people complain about stainless steel knives, too many choices and complaints . If a knife is mostly or all carbon it can rust if not cared for .All these super steels will cost you much more with not much if any better use in any cutting task. Mountain men carried carbon steel blades and they really lived and survived more than someone camping or pretending to live in a survival situation which is extremely rare. These companies like Bark river and others are very expensive knives with the 3V and Cru-wear steels that can easily go for over $300.00 , you can get all the use you need camping, hunting fishing with a buck 119 or Gerber strongarm or the Lion steel knives for more cost . My budget for a Knife now is under $200 and I look for quality and a reasonable price not super steel hype and high cost, the knives I mentioned plus the Mora knives are just some excellent knives and they all work great. The lionsteel are very nice knives and the Lionsteel M4 and B40 knives are also great knives that cost in the mid $150 dollars in price I seen them for even less online, Lt Wright also has some good prices and high quality under $200.00. Maybe you can do a review of the B40 or M4 someday?.
