We are very lucky as the famous Maya Guy has made an awesome Intro to Bifrost for complete beginners tutorial. Bifrost is free and a VFX system built into Maya already. It's incredibly powerful, and Phil will walk you through it from the very start.

--------------------------------
--------------------------------

Maya Guy will walk us through setting it up, and the must-know basic fundamentals of instancing anything in your scene. You'll be surprised at the massive polygon count Bifrost can handle compared to something like Maya's native nParticles.

In the lesson we have used a basic biped walk and jogging cycle imported as alembic caches. But you can use anything! simple geometry, full characters, text for motion design etc.
