If you’re ever in an old elk camp, dispersed camping area, or anywhere else that’s at least 20 miles off the pavement where people are camping, you’ll find a few truck campers, a beat up tent trailer, maybe some tents, and a Nash that looks like it just got beamed in there by Spielberg or Captain Kirk. That’s what it’s all about. Toughness and functionality.

Leave it to Josh to literally be the first to bring this industry low production secret to the mainstream YouTube. These Northwood products are normally only seen in California or Oregon and known to be some of the best built and engineered trailers available. Josh the way you understand and explain these videos is why I’ve been hooked for the last 6 years and can attest to Joshes excellent character.
Great video as always Josh.

The area behind the dinette bench is great extra pantry storage, favorite books to read, throw blanket or a couple sweatshirts or jackets.

Josh: This Nash 17K has a lot of great features. It’s slideless, has a beefy suspension system, duel axle, fiberglass and welded aluminum frame. Definitely checks all the right boxes for a rolling head, bed and mess truck stop or rest stop friendly trailer. Can’t say I’m a fan of the east west bed. Would definitely swap out the 10 gallon/80 pound dead weight water heater for a tankless water heater. If you have access to an the sister series to the Nash, would you please do a video review on the Arctic Fox 22G, And please see about getting the Nash and Artic Fox lines into the Bish’s Michigan stores Respectfully, W.S.

well just for fun as you are out there roughing it on the Oregon trail maybe you could swing by and do a factory tour and show how they are made

We have a 2014 Nash 17k. We love it. We manage the East/West true queen bed just fine. I sleep on the outside edge so that I can do what many men of a certain age have to do at night a few times. I noticed Josh didn't show the storage under the Queen bed. We have a rather heavy mattress on our bed and it is very, very difficult to access the hatch to get to the storage under the bed. Ours had no struts and the sideways mattress means the full weight is on the hatch. My solution was to use a oscillating multi-tool to cut out the front panels of the storage area under the bed to open access and now we have complete freedom to reach stuff under the bed. I don't have to wait until my wife wakes up so I can lift the mattress to access the hatch. Josh is correct on the solid construction. Works for us in Idaho. Thanks for the review Josh.

Just walked through this model today and I hunted for a video to detail the unit. I liked it in person, The dinette was fairly comfortable to sit in, liked the bonus open storage behind the one seat. Great quality and fell. Shower looked generous and the toilet was in a usable position. Bed a little odd, but if I was in the market for quality and no slides this would be the unit of choice. Good job Nash! Nice walk through video - thank you.

We have the 18FM. We couldn’t get the onan gen due to availability issues. It was an add on not included. We bought a honda 2200 and it fits in the hole. It is very solid, worth the $. Last Nash brand new in 2009 and just sold it to downsize. Love the murphy bed. Folds into the wall all made up. Then i have a couch. One more outing this weekend to juggle and fit all my needs for 3 months across the country from BC to Ontario and back. The 17 is just as solid and insulated very well. We camp every month up here in the north👍

Love the knot in the wood. Look great. In that drop pocket by the dinette, I would place a rod to hang clothes. Not a bad little rig.

My request: Keep featuring these mid size OTG Off Road- love the full bath, not a wet bath. Love the suspension. Brown on brown on brown, yeh- Ho Hum, but paint & peel & stick wallpaper are cheap. Love the granny grab bar at the top of the steps. I’m a granny with mobility problems but that doesn’t stop my preference for off road & OTG. I’d prefer the better steps, uneven ground, just put a block underneath. Agreed with below: should’ve been a U shape dinette. If it’s not a Twin to King conversion bed/table, better yet as a U shape dinette.
Love the light above that huge rear window. Keep the Bigfoot from peeking in.

This is a terrific unit. Some of us don't need a huge trailer, but that doesn't mean we don't want quality, and that dinette looks like it might actually be reasonably comfortable to sleep on. I'm surprised how much storage they could cram into this.

The only things I don't like on this are the east/west bed, the lack of hanging storage, and the open storage in the sleeping area. The brown decor in this one isn't bad and I'm usually complaining bitterly about decor being brown. I think the lighter walls help. I think I'd use the space beside the dinette for storing my crock pot, larger pots and pans, and any other small appliance I think I'd want while camping. All well padded of course to minimize the jiggle-banging around. Thank you for letting us know the size of the oven in this one, it's appreciated.
I hadn't been considering a specific off-grid model because I like my amenities but my brother said something recently that has me reconsidering the possibility of some off grid camping.
The floor plan on this one looks similar to the Bigfoot B17FB I was checking out online a few days ago. I liked their B25RQ a little better though because it has a walk-around bed.

I do want to give you some thank yous, some of which are definitely overdue.
Thank you for turning the camera slowly so your viewers don't get motion sick, it is very appreciated.
Thank you for not using the fish eye lens on all the videos all the time and for telling us when you do use the fish eye lens. I appreciate it and I'm sure others must too. I've seen (other people's) videos where the fish eye lens is always on and I'm not a fan.
Thank you for all the toilet, shower, and other selfies around the RVs, you are now a standardized unit of measurement in my home.
Thank you for showing Road Mode, it's wonderful to see what a travel or grocery stop is going to look like.
Thank you for letting viewers know both the good and not-so-good things about a specific RV, telling us what can likely be upgraded, and letting viewers decide what they can live with.
And last but not least, thank you for not editing your personality out of these videos.

They really are cool travel trailers. We love ours. You feel the difference as soon as you walk in. We looked at all the major manufacturers like Grand Design and the Winnies and chose Nash over all of them. We always get compliments on ours too. Once you load it up and add your own personal touches and head out you never think about the interior again. The 10 gallon hot water heater is pretty rad as well.

I love the space between the wall and the booth. I can see us putting anything we want to protect during travel like the insta pot with some pillows for packing protection or a cooler. Even small couch type throws for cool evenings. I’m sure that space is where our small dog would hide also.

Josh : 1st class suspension on the Nash & enclosed belly is appreciated. Josh, you really earned your paycheck venturing to Oregon. Only 650 shootings inside the city limits and +/- 3 cars stolen every 1 &1/2 hr. every day. Junction city gave you a taste of a nice place to be and gave me a reason to visit the RV Dealership as i am searching for a 1st time purchase. Your straight shooting manner and humor is very much appreciated.

Well found 3 things I'd tweek... 1) in bathroom next to sink: drop in a lil washer,
2) tankless water heater & 3) I'd put in a slide in the storage for an outdoor kitchen.
What to do with the cubby hole behind dinette? Plenty of room for tent - dining shelter thingy & out door stuff.
Would remove the microwave for storage. Can the matress be removed for a double? Don't need a bed to be the queen 👑 when it comes with a throne! 😂

I think that luggage rack is more like a brush guard for the ac when you go off grid
