Welcome to Kotlin Multiplatform Multiverse! This series will show how to enjoy shared code with Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile. You will learn how to create a shared code mobile app from scratch and share the code of an existing Android app and make it work on iOS. You will discover that in order to develop multiplatform mobile apps for both Android and iOS users, with native performance and UI, you do not need any special cross-platform mobile framework because Kotlin already has everything you need! Let's get started!

In the first episode of this series, you will get to know what Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile is and how you can use it in your project. We'll set up an environment and prepare you to create your first cross-platform mobile application with Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile!

Kool! Looking forward to seeing more. I think it'd be really useful to go through making a KMM library that can be shared with existing apps as external libraries. That way, the separate parts of the apps such as their UI can still live on in their current Git repositories, with the projects depending on the data layer as an external lib through Gradle or SPM or whatever. Think that would lower the bar for adopting in existing projects for sure. 🙌

One more interesting topic is making KMM library in a separate repository, publishing and connecting it independently into native iOS and Android projects.

Thanks - having just set up a Ktor server, learning Kotlin in the process, this is looking very relevant.

In my opinion, It makes more sense than building an application cross-platform. I'm looking forward to more. 🙌

It would be great to cover a topic about multithreading based on coroutines in a common module.

This is great, thank you for creating this series. For me it would be great if this covers fetch remote data, store data locally, list/detail UI, notifications and settings.

Building a fairly complex application that has features like data persistence, recycler views(paging 3 on android), coroutines etc. with kotlin on ios would be great...

its great to see KMM😁, i am hoping someday Xcode working on linux or windows machine as well, i dont know why google is supporting closed platform, i can see if xcode run on any machine, there would be lot of developer to join in or maybe its time to support linux mobile, lets keep beef and competition apart and work together for betterment of future.😁

This is a really nice idea but Ktor doesn't have enough libraries yet. In addition, we miss some examples in the case we don't have shared lib and we must use the native libs.

While we have Flutter in production quality why do we need KMM?

Can we please have subtitles for these videos tutorials. It's really difficult to understand what she's saying with the thick accent...

Почему вы не говорите по-русски? У вас очень сильный акцент, без субтитров ничего не понятно.
