My Filming Gear

All my YouTube videos are filmed on an iPhone 8 Plus and edited on an iPad Pro in LumaFusion. I am a minimalist/mobile YouTube creator. I like to keep things simple.

I just got one of these for 100 bucks with the WiFi adapter and the tripod adapter. Can't believe the quality of it. Excellent video, thanks friend.

I used the normal Osmo, and this one as well. I love this because it fits anywhere, has a touch display and is just as good as the normal one.

Don't pan the camera head by hand unless creating the points for moving timelapse - but you can move the tilt axis in normal modes. To mount the camera to a tripod, get a spring loaded mic clip from any music store, plus a thread adapter, and you can then screw that onto any tripod.

I wonder if it's possible to use a lightning extension cable to connect to a mobile phone whilst using a powerbank to charge whilst using the camera.

If you want a external mic. The GoPro adapter works with the Osmo.

So if you're on Android and connect a USB C extension cable to the middle mount then you should still be able to attach a powerbank to the bottom USB C connector to have a cabled remote and power for long timelapses.

Lots of great tips, I use a full size Osmo currently and love it but I’m thinking of getting something smaller like this too.

the bottom cable trick works on Android devices just fine.... USB C to C cables work fine with Android phones that have USB C ports. For older MicroUSB ports, I've seen someone use a OTG cable connected to the Osmo Pocket, then a regular USB A to MicroUSB cable.
