Linear Algebra 20 The Kernel and Range Injectivity and Surjectivity

We introduce two important subspaces related to a linear transformation: the kernel, and the range of the transformation. The transformation is injective (one-to-one) if and only if the kernel consists of only the zero vector. The transformation is surjective (onto) if and only if the range is the entire codomain.
