good stuff....as a pm tech who works ice machines nearly everyday, good to know that without having to meter up, i can just swap probe tabs and bang, easy peasy. i will definitely use of ice probes i use a allen key...1/8 or 9/32

I like how you did that troubleshooting🙏

Surprised I've yet to have those plastic bits snap yet...nice get by!

Pretty sure sensors just display temps. No variable capacity on the 1st gen Indigos. Can't speak to later versions that must use an EEV.

I got a good hack on that pin that broke, I used a sink clip, the type you use on kitchen sinks to clip into the counter, it worked out better then that terrible idea of theirs, they all break eventually, my clip is a "V" clip that you push in to put in place, much much better method of securing the curtain, I'm disappointed that Manitowoc hasn't axed that design yet

you can by pass it, until you get the sensor.disconnect the panel and hit the reset good for 7 days.hope that helps.

The probes are there to just help diagnose the ice machine. It doesn’t have an EEV that meters based off of probe readings. It will still operate as intended with a failed probe. TXV faults will not lock out the ice machine

How did you rig it to make ice temporarily while getting the t4 thermistor?

I don't think those probes control anything
