You know, you could’ve snip off one of the legs on the 10 NES lockout chip, it will become region free and will play any game without any problems, except for the cartridge being dirty.

These things used to be sold for dirt cheap at game stores before the mini NES came out. I have one that's a Genesis/SNES combo, which I think was $15 or $20. It worked perfectly fine and would even accept original controllers if you didn't like the included ones.

Replacement 72 pin connector are trash and won't fix the problem. Your best bet is to take the original pun connector and bend each pin back up . Guarantee it would work

These are not good to test games with as they use emulation. Basically all it does is read what the game is, then boot up the emulator file. This works fine for personal use, although if you’re using it to test games before reselling them, then any glitches or problems the cartridge has will go unnoticed by the system (since it’s not playing the actual cartridge, just reading what it is and loading an emulator). For a completely trouble free NES, your best bet would be one of the later top loader models (preferably one which is modded to take S-Video or Composite instead of RF for better picture quality) which fixed the majority of the problems the 72 pin had in the original NES.

Not a bad choice, but I personally would prefer to get a authentic NES and let my profits pay for it overtime. Or if your willing to be patient, chances are that you could get one at a decent price locally. Over a span of a month or a year of reselling, that extra 80$ bucks would be insignificant and plus you'll have a cool retro Nintendo system you get to enjoy.

Worse mistake ever man. Should have kept the original.

Look into getting a Retron 5. Their 150$~, BUT they are AMAZING for testing NES, SNES, Famicom, and Genesis!

All you have to do with the nintendo is open it up find the lockout chip and break one of the lockout chip pins. Add your nintendo would work just fine after that...

You shouldn't always use one of these clone consoles for testing games. If you have games that you know work on it and you want to play then you could buy it. Problem with clone consoles is not all games work on it. The less common the game, the less likely it will actually work

Those old NES model 1 box style consoles are GARBAGE. Get the newer NES model 2. Those work good.

So the quality and sound isn't great when testing games and you think it's a suitable substitute to test games as a re-seller? Are you serious?
