I think they make a coat/Sleeping bag combo for homeless people. The traditional image of a hobo is from the 1920's. And it was highly doctored by the various athority's.
Realisticly what your talking about is minimalist through hicking. Which takes preparation, training in wilderness survival. Lot of local area knowledge. It's not for amateurs. If you are talking about the real hobos of America tell the stories of thoes people who went into the woods unprepared and vanished. Presumed eatten buy predators.
