These BISCUIT DONUTS are a quick and delicious treat!

✨Recipe:
Ingredients:
• 1 can Pillsbury Grands Biscuits
• 1 cup powdered sugar
• 3 tbsp milk
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• A few drops food coloring
• Sprinkles, for topping
• Neutral oil for frying

Directions:
1. Remove the biscuits from the can and place them on a flat surface. Using a small cookie cutter (or a bottle cap), cut out the center of each biscuit to form a donut shape. Save the centers to make mini donut holes!
2. Heat about 2 inches of oil in a deep skillet or pot to 350°F (175°C). Carefully drop in the donuts, frying for 2 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
3. In a medium bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and food coloring (if using) until smooth.
4. Dunk the warm donuts into the glaze, letting any excess drip off. Add sprinkles for extra flair, then let the glaze set before serving, and enjoy! 😊

My mom has made these for us (without frosting) for my whole life and now i make them too! After you fry your bsucuit donuts, coat them in sugar-cinnamon and you have perfection

Fun fact: the reason the hole in the donut was made is because it used to be a complete jelly filled donut bun but the center didn’t cook so they usually filled it with butter or fruit(They called it doughnuts). One day, a captain hated the flavor so he made the hole in the donut. I think the original was from Scotland or something but I don’t remember the name

Cut the biscuits into small donut holes, fry them, place them in a paper bag with either powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar or regular sugar and shake them up. Absolutely delicious. 🤤

I grew up with those! We called them flum-kooks, made the holes by stretching out the dough by hand and tossed them in powdered sugar. They’re delicious.😋

i've made biscuit donuts b4.
you can make them without the holes (i did that once so i could make my bf a boston cream donut), but you need to fry them a bit lower for a longer period of time.

fried biscuits + vanilla pudding + melted chocolate for topping = easy fake boston creme donuts.

I would recommend doing the double fry method for the jelly filled donuts.
Lower temperature for the middle to cook up a little more and then a higher temperature for it to finish cooking and have that golden crust.

This was one of the first things we learned in home economics class. We used a little round thing to punch the holes into the sliced biscuit dough. We took the doughnuts (after they'd drained a little) and put them in a ziplock bag with powdered sugar in it. Yum!

I was told that adding little sugar to them gives a more sweeter dough I take the biscuit dough and flatten it into square sprinkle little grained and powdered sugar roll it up and connect ends to make doughnut shape or heart shape bake it till it stiffens but still raw than put it in oil to fry I also pipe filling in before roll up so it has regular looking doughnut but with filling I put that one in freezer than bake it to somewhat thaw it put in oil to fry or I just take flame and thaw the outside which takes longer but works better the filling is cool and outside is hot

This is actually a tradition in my family! But instead of pink frosting, we use cinnamon and sugar! ( we also fry and coat the middles for donut holes!)
