Not a Collingwood supporter but I enjoy watching them play.

What a legend Scott Pendelbury is, also it’s lovely to see he’s been with the same girl all these years! What a beautiful family ❤

Congrats on 400, Pendles.

I was at the prelim in 2010 and I agree, was the loudest i've ever heard the stadium. The chant was still echoing around the walkways 20 minutes after the final siren!

What a great insight.

The life of a supporter takes on many chapters. As a kid I looked up to players as untouchables. As a young adult I saw them as my generation living the dream I had myself. But as I become an older adult, there is something special about seeing the full journey of a player. The entry to the club, first game, first kick, wondering if they will get passed that 2-3 year period that seems to make or break careers. Wins, losses, hopefully premierships, hardship and completion.

Seeing players like Scott come into the club, and the game in general, it starts a journey for everyone. As the initial swagger and the (awful) dreadlocks went, we saw a player who thought deeply about the game, and was many moves ahead of everyone around him. Champions of the game have come and gone through the club, but they have all been bettered by the conductor at the front in Scott. Never rushed, and an inability to panic.

Seeing Pendlebury the man, the husband and the father, it feels from the outside that the journey is almost complete. They say behind every good man is a great woman, and Alex seems like a beautiful person both inside and out. Perhaps I am feeling a bit melancholy because realistically there may not be too many more journey's like this for me to see. Perhaps Nick will provide that one last time?

There is one thing for certain out of all this though - thank you Scott Pendlebury, thank you...
