20,000 dead from coronavirus in the US, as the country struggles with COVID-19

The United States has become the country with more deaths from coronavirus than anywhere else in the world - at least 20,000.

I live on the Isle of Man between UK and Ireland. We have a population of around 90, 000 people. Currently we have 226 cases, of corona virus, 11 hospitalised and 1 death. We are on lockdown. The only flights and boats coming to the island are to bring food and necessities which we are coping with very well. We are adhering to the social distancing and basically doing as we are told but not under duress or threat, but because it makes sense.

The only reason the hospital admissions have fallen is because people cannot afford the care cost $9000 to $20, 000 just to be tested

I am a proud US citizen from Florida. I've charted the numbers for the last month giving reports 2 times a day for my loved ones and their counts in their areas. Some people don't believe it's real may even hoax these are the ignorant ones not taking precautions. Those of us that are taking it seriously can only do what we can to protect ourselves. This isn't a race we want to be first in. We were told in February oh it's not coming here we are fine only became a false hope and people's defenses were down. The only good thing that has come from this disease is unity worldwide working on a common goal to end this pandemic, compassion for one another, and families getting back to the core values of what's important spending quality time together. Stay safe everyone!
