Even tho I'm biased to grindcore, you really picked some deathcore riffs that are nice. Good to hear some stuff beyond the 00-00-00-00-00-00 format as stereotypes often depict.

These videos are a great way to discover new bands as well.

Both grindcore and deathcore get bad reputations for having bands that all sound the same, but in reality, only a small percentage of bands in each subgenre are uncreative and/or ordinary. Would love to see a Brutal Death Metal vs. Technical Death Metal vid too!

Napalm Death, Terrorizer, Carcass.. that is what I grew up with. Newer grind like Nasum is fucking awesome as well.

Grindcore for me. Being a drummer from the 90’s Death Metal scene, I just prefer the drum patterns and it proves that you don’t have to play a million miles an hour ALL of the time. Also I find that the riffs are more memorable. Great video as always.

Both genres are children of death metal and hardcore punk, and yet both genres can at times have some very territorial and tribalistic fans that wish death upon the other. C'mon guys we're siblings!
