My elderly mother, 85 at the time, took in a rescue golden age seven, we said it would be too much for her. That four years ago, I've never seen such a loving kind hearted dog before, she's an absolute delight, mum's neighbours literally queue up to take her for short walks, I'm convinced the dog has given my mother many additional years ❤

Judging by her behaviour, she looks sad inside and like she's so done with everything. This breaks my heart. I want to hug her tight and give the love she deserves. Poor angel. She doesn't deserve the pain of abandonment.

I always wanted a retriever. One walked into my home the other day. Literally had the door open because was doing some repairs to my house and my two little ones let me know there was a big dog coming in. I raced downstairs and ran into the retriever mix in my front yard. Have him water and saw he had a tag. Called the number and they played with the excuse of it not being their dog. Called shelters, posted online and everything. I checked my cameras and saw a gray car stop in the turn out of our cul-de-sac and drop him off. He did a few walk around before looking at my house and walking in. Where is he now? On my couch, sleeping with the two little ones. He has all his shots. He is a sweetheart.

(Update: He is doing very well and has adjusted to our home quickly and loves his dad very much, as he shows me whenever he starts to jump in excitement when the front door opens after work. He gets along super well with my other two rescues, which I thought because of the trauma one of the rescues went through, he wouldn't like him, but they are best buds and sleep right next to each other, with them changing beds for some reason. 🤣)
