I was staying at a hotel once and the Breakfast was very scant - not much choice. As I was making my limited selection, a lady came up to me and asked what room I was in? I told her my room number and said if I was going to steal a breakfast, it would be a better than this!

To be fair, in german, we call it Toastbread or short toast if it's "not toasted", if it is, we call it "toasted toast". But if we toast a sandwich, we call the end-product: toast.

I swear on everything I love when I became a busboy (I used to be a line cook, kitchens get crazy lol) but yea, the waiter asked about white or brown toast and my coworkers looked at me like I was dumb when I asked what's brown toast? They soon were told to change how they ask for toast, to wheat or white?
