In diesem Video kommt die Hochwertigkeit und der hohe Grad an Handarbeit zur Geltung, der die Furnierarbeit bei Sedus ausmacht. Jedes Stück wird individuell geplant und auf andere Elemente abgestimmt. Bei größeren Konferenzanlagen und Büroeinrichtungen mit Furnieroberfläche wird durch einen Furnier- und Stellplan ein durchgängiges Bild festgelegt und garantiert. Jede Oberfläche ist jedoch anders und gibt die „lebendige“ Individualität des Baumes wieder.

• Heimischer Wald ist zu sehen: Sedus verwendet nur Hölzer aus nachhaltigem heimischen Anbau.
• Szene Furnierkauf: Händler lieferte Walnussfurnier. Mitarbeiter von Sedus begutachten die Ware auf Paletten und wählen aus. In der Szene werden die Furnierbündel so gelegt, dass sich der ehemalige Stamm des Walnussbaums erahnen lässt.
• Mitarbeiter wählt Furniere aus und zeichnet die Furnierausrichtung im sogenannten „Stellplan" ein.
• Am Zuschnittarbeitsplatz werden die Furniere markiert, dann zugeschnitten und miteinander zu einer größeren Fläche verklebt.
• Gezeigt wird das Zusammenfügen eines „Sternfurniers“ für einen runden Tisch, sowie eines rechteckigen Konferenztisches.
• Zwischendurch sieht man die Formpresse, mit deren Hilfe Armlehnen- und Rückenblenden des Drehstuhls „of course“ oder andere furnierte Formteile im Sichtbereich von Möbeln gefertigt werden.

In this video, the high quality and extensiveness of the handicraft that veneer work involves at Sedus are shown to good advantage. Each piece is individually planned and matched to other elements. In the case of large conference furniture systems and office furnishings with a veneer surface, a consistent appearance is defined and guaranteed by a veneer and positioning plan. However, every surface is different and reflects the “living“ individuality of the tree.
• Indigenous forest is shown: Sedus only uses wood from sustainably cultivated indigenous forests.
• Scene: veneer buying. Traders have supplied walnut veneer. Sedus employees inspect the goods on pallets and select what they want. In the scene, bundles of veneer are placed together in such a way that they hint at what the original trunk of the walnut tree must have looked like.
• An employee selects veneers and draws the alignment of the veneers on the so-called “positioning plan“
• At the workstation where the veneers are cut to the appropriate shape and size, they are marked, cut to size/shape and glued together to form a large surface.
