I've never had any issues with the app tracking being greyed out. I have noticed that since upgrading to ios 14.5.1 that when asking or just saying something to siri, in its reply, it stops speaking part way through. I have been told that ios 14.6 will fix this. I hope this will be true, since I use siri many times a day. I recently subscribed to your channel for your ios videos. They are really informative. I really enjoy watching them. Keep them coming!

I'm over 18, my account was created like 10 or 12 years ago and my iPhone isn't managed by a business.
I'm pretty sure that the bug is still there. I got it working for 1h and then it did grey out again. I logged out and logged back in (appleid) and did a reset of all settings. Those 2 methods only worked for a short period of time.

If u still have this problem, even if non of those things apply to u ( ur age or ur phone belonging to a business) just sing out of ur Apple ID. Then u can easily turn it on, and even if u sing back in ur Apple ID it won’t turn grey again

I have checked all three options, then I was gonna turn on Apple Ads in Privacy, but it's also grayed out. :)

None of the reasons for me, I’m not under 18, my Apple ID is mine, not from a company, my Apple ID is from 2007. And I’m from the Dominican Republic.

Okay yes but how do I fix it?
It's not linked in to any job or parental controls. It used to belong my younger brother who is a Minor. But now I'm using it. How do i change that?

Im 18 still tracking is grey out and my personalised ads are too grey out

Another reason:

The "Allow Apps to Request to Track" option is disabled.

Solution (iOS 17):

Settings -> Screen Time -> Content & Privacy Restrictions -> Allow Apps to Reqest to Track -> Allow Changes


Then go back to "Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Tracking" to enable the tracking of specifc apps.

I found out that if you signed out of iCloud you can allow the app to do tracking and then sign back in and you will still have your app signed in😂🎉

Mine is still great out grade out and I’m 18 years of age so and I’m also using my sisters Apple Music as well
