Thank you for your insights into the similarities and differences between the two. I was diagnosed with Sjogren's in 2020. Since then, I've learned firsthand the serious systemic effects of Sjogren's. I've developed extreme fatigue, brain fog, inflammatory arthritis, polyneuropathy, carpal tunnel in both hands, muscle pain and weakness, and in 2022 I was diagnosed with pulmonary arterial hypertension associated with Sjogren's. Too few physicians understand the serious nature of Sjogren's. It is so much more than a nuisance disease that only caused dry eye and dry mouth.

Your videos are absolutely the very best! I have RA, Sjogren's, and Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia. My symptoms started at age 40, but were not diagnosed until age 68, although I saw four rheumatologists during those years. Now I am 71, my joints are disfigured, and their function is greatly diminished. Unfortunately, I am chronically fatigued and accomplish very little in a day. You and your team are such a blessing to anyone traveling this journey! Thank you!

Dr. Girnita: is Sjögren’s syndrome in any way related to spinal or other deformities? I had knock-knees as a child (treated with special orthopedic shoes) and scoliosis (treated with surgery and harrington rods). Was diagnosed with Sjogrens at age 35. I have not had good luck with rheumatologists since.

Do either of these diseases affect the SI joints? I ve had on and off pain and sensation into my feet for 2 years. Seen orthopaedic and neurologist and they couldn’t find a definitive diagnosis. I have disc degeneration but no neural compression. I wake up with upper back pain and stiffness now. I have dry eyes and now dry skin. My toes are painful. The back of my thighs tremble and I have bubbling sensation into my soles. Both sides comes and goes.It comes and goes.
