The French also makes crossiont and pastries with pure butter which is grass fed. Also, French pastries are not sickening sweet. They have much less sugar and made with real fruit. And only eat one with coffee once a week or so. Make it a treat not everyday.

People in France also walk to the market for food, or the bakery for bread, as America progressed beyond New York the cities became less and less walkable, most of us have no choice but to drive for everything...

I’ve heard from Italian folks that the wheat they use is somehow different from what the US uses. As in, Italians eat US pasta and claim to feel gross afterwards 🤷🏻‍♂️

As usual, great information. Much appreciated. 👍

French products are also free of MSG. The international brands sell MSG-free versions of their products in France. The taste difference is negligible, so why MSG is still being used in other countries is beyond me.

I cook and eat the french wau. I'm not french. I'm brazilian. We eat more or less the same way. The amount you eat is important. A breakfeast of bread and butter and coffee and milk is great. Then a big lunch and moderate dinner.

I'd add they go longer without eating between meals.
It's not uncommon to eat after 7pm...
Restaurants only open at 7:00pm.
As kids they eat much healthier at school creating a more healthy metabolic rate.

They consume cheese with red wine. They have a lot of salad before their meals. They don't drink sugary drinks like Americans. Of course, they pay attention to the weight.

The French eat a lot of fat, dairy, beef etc, yes! However they eat very small portions of food. My colleagues at lunch most times would eat a very plain chicken salad for lunch (no sauces, only a drizzle of olive oil) and have a piece of cheese for dessert.

I live in France and we eat a lot of fruit jams too. On our croissants and bread, which is always white bread. For breakfast every morning, with a cup of milky sweet coffee.

They also consume a lot of red wine which is beneficial for cardiac health as reported on 60 minutes some time back.

Yeah it's the seed oils. I used to struggle with allergic responses after eating snd I never had any idea what it was. Once it came out that seed oils are not good for you I began to change my diet. By changing my diet I eliminated seed oils without always knowing what I was doing. Then, once in awhile I would treat myself and go out to eat with my spouse. I would have an immediate response. Long story short... It's the seed oils.

Exactly! Good assessment! Don’t eat seed oils or sugar or carbs or artificial sweeteners! Then you’ll be good!

You are most important to me: my barber, my health food store, (molsa la bisbal), my drugstore paint and such, butcher, and fish monger, and the medical center, and the local small supermarket, and You thank you all

Yep, we all listen to the government guidelines on nutrition starting around the late 60s. Threw away our lard and our butter started eating all that hydrogenated garbage got us all sick.
