Apart from the Marvel live action films, Marvel can't even touch DC in any other aspects. May it be the comics, the animated films or the video games.

They didn't show Hawkeye either, it's not a girl thing they just highlighted the 4 main avengers like they do with a lot of merchandise and marketing

It's gonna be good... i played a lot of SquareEnix (Final Fantasy XV, Kingdom Hearts) Eidos (Tomb Raider) games. Both of those games are an amazing open world rpg games. I'm glad it's not gonna be a fighting game like Injustice or Marvel VS Capcom. I've always wanted an open world marvel game since the last gen. So anyway since it's gonna be a Multi-game partnetship i'm guessing it will be like the cinematic universe where they will have their stand alone film or a game in this case and then in the end the Avengers

In the Marvel Universe, only the X-Men girls are awesome, the rest pretty much suck.
I also think that they are pushing Capitan Marvel to be the Wonder Woman of Marvel....But I find Storm more suitable for this. It would have been so different if Marvel had the rights for X-Men. :(

Doesn't sound like a bad idea. A free roam game if you can play as all the avengers will be sweet. Plus you can make it GTA like where you can attack people and such since why not?

A lot of guys do play the female characters from what I've seen. In fact Sonic Fox, the best Injustice 1 player, used Batgirl!

The only decent Marvel video games in recent memory are actually the Lego and they're made by Warner Bros. Lol

Even though Marvel is INCREDIBLY late to the game, at least they're coming out with all they've got. We're now getting Insomniac's Spider-Man (technically from Sony), Telltale's GotG, Marvel vs. Capcom Infinitine, and now this!

Cristal Dinamics makes new Tomb Raider (Lara Croft) games and they represent women characters very well. So I would say don't worry there will be a good diversity.

Marvel may be better at DC for movies, but for comics, shows, games, animated movies, DC is better

Marvel and SquareEnix just wanted to make this announcement, hence 'announcement' trailer. Also, since the game is just announced, I am assuming that it is in very early development...so, we shouldn't be surprised that they didn't show too much. As for the (female) characters: again, the game is probably still in very early stages, but I am expecting that more characters will be announced as soon as the development of the progresses. In other words: no need to worry to much about it...
