After a dramatic 4-3 win against Liverpool in the Semi-Final, Palace faced Manchester United in the FA Cup Final at the old Wembley stadium and there were no shortage of goals in this one either as a famous Ian Wright brace from the bench put the Eagles on the edge of cup glory.

I was there as a youngster of 16. Also at the replay where I was lucky to have a seat alongside the steps. I gave Mark Hughes my scarf. Great memories.

I miss the days when the FA cup was a major trophy and a massive event. The all day build up on BBC starting with football focus and the countdown to kick off. Great times. I wish clubs still cared as much about it today. It’s such a great trophy.

I grew up in South London and was fortunate enough to play regularly against Danny Wallace, David Rocastle and Ian Wright. They were all good players but Wrighty was something special. I last played against him when we were 18 as he turned pro quite late and he absolutely turned me inside out in a semi final in Lewisham.

I was 12. Watched it on tele. When Palace got the 3rd goal i sat in my wardrobe crying my eyes out. Then when Sparky got the equaliser my mam came into room to tell me and i burst out and went mental. 1❤

This was the game that saved Sir Alex career as Manchester United manager. We would have never known how great he would have been had utd sack him.

And I was there. First time at Wembley but I'd been to all the other round games and this was a brilliant day...

Totally remember I was praying so hard for Man Utd to score an equalizer. Mark Hughes did it again!

The days when the FA Cup actually meant something and Wembley didn't look like just another premier league ground.

What a great game this was, I was 10, still remember it like it was yesterday, and my first trip to London and Wembley.. I also went to the replay, very scrappy, but who cares when you win, must av been about 3am when we got back to Manchester. Good days, team played with passion unlike these overpaid wallops of today..
