Starting to test the K-Tech Front ORVS and Rear Bladder Conversion kits in Hard Enduro conditions on my KTM 300 EXC 2015 Factory Edition.

Front Suspension ORVS Kit - The ORVS works very well on rocky terrain, although it feels not as plush as the Ohlins Cartridge kit. That said, the K-Tech kit is significantly cheaper than the Ohlins and is supposed to be easier to maintain. The ORVS kit definitely feels more on the stiffer side - I had to practically turn the compression all the way to be fully open, in order to feel comfortable. As for the rebound - 15 clicks seemed to work well.
It should be noted that the front wheel has a brand new Michelin Mousse - so suspension might feel less stiff once the mousse becomes softer after having a few hours on it.

Rear Shock Bladder Conversion Kit - Also here I had to turn the high and low speed compression all the way to be fully open. On the rebound I opened 23 clicks, and this seems to work fine. perhaps I'll try to close a couple of clicks in the rebound next time I'm in the forest. the rear tire is mounted on a brand new Michelin Mousse - so I would expect the rear suspension to feel softer in a few hours.

Overall I am pleased with K-Tech's kits and think they offer a good package for the price you pay for them. The bike seems to keep its lines, the wheels stay on the ground and there aren't any significant surprises once you pick up the speed. My 300 has a 13/52 gear ratio which makes a very quick throttle response and might cause the bike to feel a bit edgy sometimes - and I think the suspension compensates on this very well. More insights to come once a gain more seat hours on this exciting bike 😅

Next ride I'll try to test the suspension in fast special tests/dunes and see how it performs there.

Stay tuned... 🤘🏼🤙🏼

I installed slavens mx tech lucky system in the forks and had the rear shock done up at Mx tech as well on my 15’ 300xc.
