Any tips for a 10 day old that has a lot of poops, it does seem like the quick elimination you talk about in the video, exclusively breast-fed, am I feeding too much? I do let her comfort suck to sleep but honestly it seems like all she wants to do when she’s awake is eat and she really needs the boob to fall asleep. I’ve heard time and again you can’t overfeed a newborn and the breast will know how to adjust the supply, but I can’t help but overthink and wonder. If I’m doing something wrong? The poops seem like a yellowy brown and even a little gritty. I guess I’m getting frothy because of the way they sound coming out and a couple have been bubbly. When should we expect more solid poops from an infant?

My 8-9 week old babies poop was just fine until a week ago. It went from the typical seedy mustard color to dark green & frothy green overnight and has not returned. He is completely breastfeed and I cannot tie it too any reason- feeding has not changed. Large poops several times a day and little ones 24/7. I see his doc next week for the 2 mo check, he seems ok… But it happening so suddenly caught me off guard. I have tried leaving him on the breast longer, he feeds for an extremely long time anyway, feeds that are 30 minutes I would consider short. Don’t know, I’m just worried he has an intolerance or infection or something. Will update if I remember to after his visit.

How about dark green poop? My three week old only goes every 2-3 days and his poop is dark green. He is breastfed but i have to supplement with formula as well.
His formula was recently (3 days ago) switched to one that is for babies with milk allergy/intolerance. Pooping is a little more frequent so far but still dark green.
