One you get to know it, solo mode gets quicker and smoother. I really love it now and play it more often than I play Arnak solo mode (despite AI actions being so much easier to manage). Only the first games are a bit tough but that's the price to pay if you want an opponent whose strategy and moves really adapt to the game configuration. Hard to beat, obviously !

Paired dragonflies and spirits DO count for satisfying the vision requirements. I agree with your other gripes about the game, but overall, feel that the positives outweigh the negatives. Thanks for making a well-produced video. Subscribed!

im late to the party, i know lol. recently found your channel. i love solo modes with a bit more meat to them. that said, not all AIs are created equal. you can learn AI systems for sure, that doesnt mean some arent just too much. for example i love Turczi solos, well most of them. thats the point though, not all are done in a way thats easy to learn or intuitive to operate. this sounds like a tougher one, on top of a tougher game to learn.

the game looks interesting to me. its why i keep coming back and checking new videos on it. still not sure the juice is worth the squeeze here. and i love Voidfall, Perseverance, Trickerion, Scarface 1920, and other more complex solos.

Thanks for the video and playthrough. I don't buy a lot of games and I really have to choose what I buy. So, I think for those that have a few games to learn and playthrough, having a high thematic, beautiful challenge game, like this one, that is accessible and available (on retail) with such luxury production is worth the learning, mental puzzle and, if necessary, house rules to make it enjoyable to play.

Most important part for me is at 11:52 and how say the solo is basically a lot of upkeep. That's vital info for me to know and guess it will sadly be a pass. With arms and shoulders issues, I can't also be playing for an AI lol Keeps me from playing Paladins more already (I do need to come up with a solo that works for my needs, maybe as simple as 'I do this action, so will the AI' ; )

First off, I want to say thank you for taking the time to do a full solo playthrough and giving us your thoughts on Bitoku, as I know it was not easy. 🤦🏾‍♂️

Just watching you do the solo play-through on this one was tough to watch, and this was due to the complexity of the automa and the chart. Not due to you, as you are fantastic, and I enjoy all of your videos and playthroughs.

(I'm just like you when it comes to playing solo, so the less upkeep with the AI, the better).

I really wanted to like this game due to many of the points you hit on along with its unique theme but seeing how I mostly play solo, I unfortunately, will have to pass on this one and continue to look more into games that are on your excellent 10 top solo board games list you made.

Love your playthoughs so please keep it up. When I first saw the this board I was like NO, just no. It just looks like a mess and a chore to set up.

Very in depth solo review. Lots of nitpicks, but it's your experience of the game so everyone's different. Personally I disagree with a lot of those nitpicks, but I respect your opinion. Not everyone enjoys the same stuff and that's okay.
