Thanks for this video. What I have not been able to succeed in is how to orient the image vertically, so that it appears like, for example, a billboard and not like a sheet lying on the ground... We can only orient the image on the Y axis, neither the X axis not the Z one.

was having problem with the 3d trees coming through the image overlay. Solved by - tools - options- uncheck - Terrain, 'use 3d Imagery (disable to use legacy 3D buildings)'

Hi I do this with my Surveys and older survey maps. I am trying to find how these imported Overlays can be seen when I launch the Record a Tour function. The Imported images are not visible on the Tour. I want the Tour function, within Google to have the option to Tour over the Imported Images and send the KMZ files with the Image visible. THANKS for showing me the "HOLD SHIFT" when scaling the image...
ALSO, if the Image was a Map that we can create a real 1=1 scale version in AutoCAD, it stands to reason that when you "IMPORT" that image, it can enter the program already at the Correct Earth Scale and then simply be Rotated and Centered before clicking OK and SAVE???
That way we know the Scale is accurate when imported?
I could eventually connect EVERY survey in the County and Overlay them here and perform a Tour of YOUR Lot ?
Want me to come survey your Lot? AND that suspicious Neighbor across the way? see what he has over there? LOL
