I have reasons to believe they’re not dead

1. BitterGiggle is a jester, meaning they’re pretty good at acting. If they faked their death, it would give protag and Toadster motivation to avenge them.

2. BitterGiggle is probably two people, like with the other BG clones. The ninja star struck them perfectly in the middle, where they attach. At most it would split them (like we see in their possessed form).

3. We don’t know anything about BG’s anatomy. They could have no organs, for all we know, and considering the fact that there’s no exposed organs in their possessed form, it’s likely they weren’t injured much by the ninja star.
