Hi everybody!

I can proudly say that your prayers have (finally) been heard and yes, this video features all the basses I play the most with.
Talking about the next song, I know some of you might say:
"whaaaat another chili peppers cover?"
And well in my defense, this tune is just perfect for showing how versatile a bass can (or cannot) be because it switches a lot between slap and finger style playing.

Last but not least, my band Deep Kick released it's brand new album last January and if you're interested you can check it out right here:
Once again, thank you guys so much and I hope you'll enjoy.

Gear used:
- MusicMan Stingray 3EQ (flat EQ)
- MusicMan Sterling (flat EQ)

- Sandberg Basic 4 custom
- Alusonic S-Special (with Aguilar OBP-1 preamp)

This guy is so talented he can change his clothes and bass without stop playing it.

After 4 years of playing the bass, I'd always felt a bit ashamed of not being sure to recognize a clear difference of sound between basses. Your video is an eye opener for me !

The final descending run at the end is mind blowing.

When people say music doesn't need bass, direct them here.

The only problem with a video like this is that it's just so damn funky that you can't watch the whole thing because you gotta to stop and pick up your own bass and start funking around cause it's just so good you have to participate

Wow. I've been a bassist for 15 years and I've gotta say that this may be the coolest bass cover video I've seen on YouTube. First off, you've clearly got the chops. Second, the demo of all the basses back to back is the best testament to the vast tonal differences between basses. Third, flea clearly doesn't need lesser mortals like you and I adding to his licks, but you did it so appropriately and it sounded like the man himself riffing on his own material. Fourth, doze shurrtz, doe...

I've watched/listened to the bass solo at 3:47 about 20 times now. Shit, it's so good.

Man, I used to watch your cover videos religiously. To watch you progress and show off all the basses you managed to get was unbelievable. Stick to the path you've made. It's amazing to watch

Great idea man! Did you run all of these through the same rig? So cool to hear the different tones of each bass one after another!
