sounds good in theory or if it was 2017. hard to find reliable $5k car that fits turo criteria on consistent/monthly basis nowadays.

This is the way to go! I started with 1 cash car, I have 4 now and growing fast!

Only way this can work is if you are a mechanic or very close with one

Turo Host here. I barely make $600 a month with $25k cars. Way overestimated profits but still a good building strategy

Exactly! Way to go girl! You're smart. That's the same business model I have as well. So far two cash cars and I did choose to finance one. Maybe another financed one. Will soon buy another cash car or two. I just started turo a few weeks ago and it's so profitable

Works on paper, doesn’t work in real life. Car accidents, law suits, and many many other challenges will slow you down on Turo. It’s still profitable, but from my experience, by using under 5k cash cars, you will need something like 20’ish cars to make 100k - and the curve will be slower. Good luck tho!

Hi, thanks for sharing the info. Have a few questions since i an looking into Turo as well.
1. What cars do you have?
2. Which cars to stay away from?
3. Is your plan working out well?
4. What platform / aproach are you using to find cars in that price range?
5. Any genral dos and don'ts for a newbie?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Beside - insurance, registration fee, turo fee with maintenance fee. The most important is either being a good mechanic yourself or have a good trustworthy mechanic that you have a good relationship with. They are so many crooked & dishonest mechanics that will make up & add more proplems to the car to make more money....

Awesome job!!!! This business isnt for those with closed mines. Keep grinding sweetie. There is a guy here in Jacksonville that has too many cars for me to count, and he is making millions. He also manages cars for others. I drive uber and have picked him up several times. He is killing it. Keep pushing forward

Your measured and methodical approach will get you there much faster than I will, but I guess we have slightly different goals. I drive the cars, and pick cars I like to daily. My day job provides significant income, so from both a time and tax standpoint, I don’t think I will go above the four active cars I currently have.

don't forget labor, expenses, insurances, Turo fee, maintenance, repair. Will need a lot of car to make $3000 net.

Woah woah woah don’t get me wrong this is a great idea regardless but some things are not being taken into consideration. Insurance for that many cars is not cheap. Ownership in general! Not cheap. Taxes, definitely not cheap don’t even get me started. Understand that just because the Turo app says a profit of x amount, that is not at all the full picture. A Kia Rio, for example is a cash car according to turo itself. In the turo ROI calculator it says you can make a profit of about $800 a month. When I’m reality that’s just your gross pay. Your net pay after all the expenditures is going to be more like $300 a month.
