One of the finest lectures on Immmunology that I have heard. In times of covid 19 this lecture covers issues related to vaccines so well. This is a must listen for all medical students.

I tuned in late but will watch the replay.
Thanks for being an excellent teacher.
I agree with others who say you need to be on TV.
TV's a mental train wreck, we need more educational programs on it rather than the mindless duff that's aired.

@1:06:13 he wrote that "Defense against microbes that survive and replicate inside phagocytes" (the microbes in mention would be viruses) "with helper T cells which can detect infected cells..." I learned that CD8 cells are the ones that kill infected body cells through viral infection. It happens when the antigen fragment is internalized presented on the MHC1 molecule which CD8 cells recognize...not CD4 cells. CD4 cells function to activate other B cells and to undergo clonal expansion.

COVID theater: A Johns Hopkins University meta-analysis of several studies in February found that lockdowns during the first COVID-19 wave in the spring of 2020 only reduced COVID-19 mortality by .2% in the U.S. and Europe.
"While this meta-analysis concludes that lockdowns have had little to no public health effects, they have imposed enormous economic and social costs where they have been adopted, " the researchers wrote. "In consequence, lockdown policies are ill-founded and should be rejected as a pandemic policy instrument"
