I love your videos, so thank you for showing us your vintage dining room! I do like your 2nd version better, but thats how it is when decorating. You change it until it feels right!! And hey, nothing wrong with a cocktail as a matter of lifestyle. I love a cocktail or glass of wine with dinner as it adds to the culinary experience! P.S. Its so nice of your grandparents and Aunt for sending you things they know you would love to have.

That light fixture IS 80's, and they did sell them into the 90's. I have one in my bedroom that I bought in 1994 at Home Quarters.... except mine is just one tier of beveled glass panels, and 3 builbs in the center (clear, not smoke colored). I liked the look of it myself, but always wanted a crystal chandeleier.... all of them I looked at were too frou frou in style, so I ordered online and bought strands of lead crystal prisms and hung them on my existing light fixture on that inside metal support ring. It is DAZZLING, and I love it. So it's beveled glass around the outside with lead crystal prisms underneath the glass. They were quite expensive.. 250$. about triple what I paid for the light fixture in the first place.
