I have to admit as an XM4 owner I’m disappointed in the mic on the XM5. I had high expectations considering the Linkbuds had a fantastic mic. Keep up the great work and congrats on 2k subs!

I had XM4, and had that issue with strange noise in right earbud. Got XM5 they were working great then 9 months after purchase case is not charging anymore, for both series of xm earbuds from sony there is an error. So I think that for future sony models are not on my purchase list.

Just for a comparison, I still have Galaxy Buds pro, and after few years they are still kicking. Battery has degraded which is to be expected after few years, but they are still working.

Great review! I really like the JBL’s. Both buds have a different sort of sound which doesn’t seem to be duplicated by the other. I like the fit and the NC better with the Sony’s. I guess it boils down to mood and how you want to hear music at the time. Sony’s are my go-to right now…

I'm going to have to say here that since you didn't do turn on the Sony Spatial, then it's not apples for apples.. I suspect you would have got more depth and treble and lost some of the sustained bass you were bragging about..I suspect if you turned off the Spatial on the JBL pair, you would have noticed more bass (just having to guess here) and did I notice on your eq setting, you set the Treble all the way on the Sonys, and only just got the amount of treble you liked? I didn't see where you did finally set up the similar comparison.. Have you had a chance to yet?

Hi! First of all, as far as I understood, a very good review, but I have a question that I hope you can help me with. Currently, I have the WF-1000XM4, which I like, but it's time to replace them. The issue with these headphones is that I had battery problems after some time of use, and I saw that it's something recurrent with Sony headphones (the same thing happened to me with the WF-1000XM3). The thing is, I know that Sony's ANC is unparalleled, but even so, how is the sound quality of the JBL? Would you recommend going for them anyway? Or is it better to go directly for the Sony WF-1000XM5?

You used your same ANC Sony test as you have on other videos. You got to do a comparison with comparisons on the day, not use whatever day you tested each earbuds.

You have to Realize the Ear Buds are not going to fit the same way for some one else the way they fit in your ear, You SAID @ 3:26- 3:45 " the Ear Buds are NOT bubbled - and Not Bulging out nice and flat ( Nice and Flat up against YOUR Ear )" This statement you made, is NOT true. I have these ear buds and they do Bulge out and stick out, Just Because you show a Picture of how the buds fit in your ear don't have anything to do with me, When you create Earbud reviews videos.... Its just best to not show a picture.... because how the Earbuds fit in your ear is irrelevant to me.
