#vinyl #music #vinylcommunity Remember when it seemed like every record had to have a 'club' remix- even if it wasn't a dance song? 12 inch singles were everywhere in the 80's but at a cost of nearly a tenner in today's money were they worth it? With this in mind I thought I'd go through all the 12 inch singles in my collection, in chronological order and this second installment covers the year 1985.
*Update*- As it's been pointed out to me in the comments: Captain Sensible was not a drummer!

Great Video (you really know your music). I have "Can't You See" with 8:15 to Nowhere on the B side by Vicious Pink on 12" single. I think I may have "Fetish" on one of my CD's or possibly a Razormaid series. Paul Hardcastle - "19" is an amazing classic... I still love to spin it today.

Man, I love that Dolby's Cube record jacket. That is so Cool. Keep the music flowing, my man!

Did you know that Suzanna Hamilton who's face is on that Eurythmics 12 inch also played Susan in The Swallows And Amazons?      Captain Sensible is more famous for singing and playing guitar in the Damned. I never knew he played Drums. I've always been curious about his solo albums, as I am a big fan of the Damned.     I agree with you that the World In Action theme music was great. I'd love to have that on a record. It reminds me of the track called Nantucket Sleighride by Mountain that was used as the theme for Weekend World. It's well worth hearing the whole song if you haven't. I love it's intensity.     The Dream Academy were fantastic. One of my all time favourite bands. I first got into them when I heard the 12 inch of the Smiths cover Please Please Please. They did some great B sides too. Cheers

I like your style and personality! You seem to have a good sense of humor! I have subbed! Now I need to find time to watch your older videos!
I hope you have time to check out my silly channel!
I appreciate the 12" singles. Not enough coverage in the Vinyl Community. My local Charity shop had someone donate a crate full of late 90's Hip-Hop /R&B 12" singles. I bought all I could. The reason they were donated is that they were all in a flood. Every cover had BAD water damage... some had mold on them... but after cleaning the most of them came out pretty good! Until I bought those I did not understand the difference tht the tracj being spaced out makes in the playing of the song and because of the wider spaces they were easier to clean.
Thank you for sharing!

That U Bahn X 12" is an all time favorite of mine. Used to make it on many a mix tape back in the 80's. VIcious Pink put out two other really good 12" singles after the one you showed "Cccan't You See" and "Take Me Now". Check those out if you haven't already heard them. Going to check out Mainframe and that Captain Sensible 12" you showed. I have many of his records but I never got that Sensible 12" you showed. Cheers!
