My dad is retired USCG, 15yrs as a rescue swimmer stationed in Cape Cod, he has a ton of great stories from his time there! Destin's Deep Dive into the USCG gave a ton of great info on the branch and yours added a whole new perspective with taking on the drug runners. So freakin cool to see more about the Coast Guard, especially from the Helo's POV!

I salute the U.S. Coast Guard - I watch CG Alaska. Swimmers actually jump into the freezing water to rescue disabled watercraft. They actually search land and sea for missing people. I'm amazed at their skill, finesse, physical capabilities, courage, selflessness, tactics, ad infinitum. Yes, we are in for a treat...can't wait to see the entire episode. I’m a 22 year old machinery technician “mechanic” in the coast guard in Alaska on a 110’ cutter. I have learned and seen so much I never would have if it wasn’t for the coast guard. Absolutely love everyone I’ve meet and get treated like family. Definitely give it a look there are plenty of rates other than just in this video.

I know a couple of guys that were in the Coast Guard. They said it was the best part of their lives! One was a pilot and the other on a boat in the Port of LA. Damn the stories they If I could back in time I would definitely go into the Coast Guard!!!! They kick ass!!!!
