I Don't think there is anything more costly than a clubs reputation. Ten Hag is making the United fans feeling they are supporting a lower mid table team in the premier league.

It would in fact cost them north of 500m£. Cause the players ETH signed and those he kept at the sacrifice of others leaving are not the kind of players the rumoured managers would take. Like, they kept Rashford but sold Sancho, kept Garnacho but sold Elanga, signed odd players like Højlund, Casemiro, Antony, Yorro, Mount, and Ugarte. These are unorthodox players many top teams avoid. Only signings I personally admire are Zirkzee, Onana and Mazraoui. Imagine the cost it will take top rebuild this squad all over again!

The problem is Man Utd, not whoever is coach at the time. Until they sort out the underlying problems there will be no progress. The club is not fit for purpose. They can bring in any top coach in the world and it's not going to change much until the club is running properly.
