Even s a child, I hated the fuss with birthdays. My parents gave up having parties early on, thankfully, after I kept disappearing, as soon as ‘friends’ arrived. These days, I do not attend any social gatherings, birthdays, parties, weddings, funerals, Christmas or otherwise. None.
