Mrs Robinson said she raised adults not children, this simple statement is incredibly profound and one which all parents could learn lessons from. What an amazing woman. ❤

Michelle’s mother speaks with so much grace and gentleness. She’s so wise. I can listen to her all day!

Thank you so much for making me feel welcome to your table and included in this conversation. You have all inspired me today. I do not have very many friends in the area I live in and now I realize there are women who share the same ideas I sometimes think about. Thank you all so very much...sending love.

I didn't grow up with a good circle of women and as an adult have struggled to feel safe enough to be more than surface friends. I always feel wistful watching a group of women in the lirr circle. So beautiful.

I salute these Black women who millions in the Black community admire. They have gotten to give back to the communities in more ways than one. Such an inspiration to women all over the world!❤💯

Michelle Obama’s mom…just wow! Love her. Most dysfunction begins in childhood, mostly with the parents’ own dysfunction. When parents are like Michelle Obama’s mother, you get a well-balanced, confident, and humble adult. Her mother is a model for all mothers. 🌹🌹🌹🙏

Wow, Mrs. Robinson validates everything I told my kids. Thank you! I was feeling a little guilty thinking it was too harsh from a mother. Now, it sounds quite right to say "I don't know" sometimes, and "It's your education. I have already graduated." I can even hear my voice saying that as I type. Sending love to all of you ladies. I can't wait to read Mrs. Obama's new book. I wish I had a group like that. However, I do not take for granted the few people I know even if they are not as close to me as your friends are to you. ❤❤💘💘❤❤

I wish Mrs Robinson would write a book. The tittle should be, ‘Once You Decide You Don’t Have To Know Everything, Then You Can Relax’.

I loved it when Michelle made comments about Barack leaving socks out....I remember thinking she was the first First Lady who was willing to get real.

Such incredible parenting gems. I grew up with parents that shielded me from their imperfections. I have a young niece now and I told her “ adults don’t always know everything, she laughed at me like “ yea right”. Children really think that there is a switch that goes off when you turn a certain age and you will know everything and have everything figured out. As a 30 year old woman I’m still trying to unlearn that mindset.

I, LOVED it when she said Barack left his socks out. I thought, "at last, a First Lady who is real!".

So True!!! It is nice to have friends to vent to that way you can get it off of your chest and go home with a fresh outlook or just a free mind because you were able to get it out to your friends! GO MICHELLE! WE LOVE YOU!
