Just signed up for the everyday and the blue cash and was approved on the same day on March 1st. Don't think the rules were in place yet.

I like the option to still proceed without a signup bonus, rather than a flat out rejection. Especially for the keeper cards.

I have had no Amex activity in the last 5 or more years. I have never had a Hilton card. I was denied the Hilton welcome offer. So weird. I entered my data. Thanks, Sebby!

They did this to me with the 100k Schwab Platinum offer. It didn't tell me the message before applying. Met the spending but was declined the bonus

Sebby, I'm gonna pretend that the new bonus eligibility is based on common sense, and it evaluates
1-Cancellations after bonus but b4 A.F. is due
2-Too many cards under a year old with no A.F. payment to AMEX.
3-Too much total credit line vs annual salary.
4-Not using your AMEX cards enough.

This just happened to me but I only have 1 charge card and 1 credit card with them so wtf is wrong? I don’t think I want to continue with the application because it was bad enough it was only a 250 welcome bonus offer smh

Ugh that sucks but I've gotten 7 Amex cards all with sign-on bonuses since March of 2017 so I guess I have nothing to complain about. Luckily I can play 2 player with my wife who so far has only one account and did receive the bonus.

Sebby,

I got my Amex Platinum in 20, I got my Gold on Feb 22 had no pop-up warning and completed the welcome bonus in Mar. I just applied for the Aspire card and got the pop up of welcome offer not available due to the opening of cards, so I will wait until the end of the month or perhaps wait until mid-May to apply again and see if Amex requires you to wait at least 3 months to get another card to be a welcome bonus eligible

The rule is kind of weird to me...I could see them blocking sign up bonuses from cards in the same family, i.e. One Hilton Bonus per person, but why would the number of cards opened block me from being eligible for a bonus🤔🤔🤔. If they make it one sign up bonus per card family, it would encourage people to upgrade cards. Now closed accounts, that’s a different story. Also, do you think it’s for all cards opened/closed or just for AMEX Cards?

Hello Sebby, I know this is not a video related to what I'm going to ask, but since it's your most recent video I thought I'd post it here. This is regarding Chase Business cards. I am coming up on the 1 year anniversary of the Chase Ink Preferred card and planning on cancelling it before the AF hits; and I am interested in the Ink Unlimited card. Would it be better if a) I cancelled the Ink Preferred first and then applied for the Ink Unlimited? Or b) I applied (and hopefully got approved) for the Ink Unlimited first and then cancelled the Ink Preferred? Thanks in advance.

This message is frustrating.
AmEx just approved me for their Gold care (and Platinum a couple months ago), but when i just applied to the Hilton Aspire card, i got the dreaded popup & decided not to move forward.

I got my Amex Gold on March 15th, and completed my bonus.
Figured I'd get the Amex Plat. with 150k Point and $200 cash back offer.
I applied today, April 15 and got denied on the offer and was asked if I wanted to continue. I canceled it and so now I'll just wait another month and give it a try to see if it will go through...

Never got the warning. Never got the bonus. The card was amex blue cash preferred. And my first amex was the different looking Blue cash everyday card. I got a bonus 10 years ago or more. That BC everyday card eventually closed from inactivity. But I probably should have called about this new card

I just added a Gold Amex for my daughter to my Amex personal Platinum account. I had to listen to rep on the phone ramble for 10 minutes and I still didn’t understand what the minimum spend was to get the bonus points for adding the card.

Hi, I have a question, if I apply a charge card and a credit card in a short time period ( like 1-2weeks) from Amex, can I get both sign up bonus? What if I apply two Amex credit cards in one month ? Can I get both sign up bonus ? Thank you so much if you could reply me.

Sebby! so basically anything opened and approved with amex prior to the rule change. Then we get our signup bonus. any card opened after the rule change is subject to Amex discretions? Did i get that right?

I got denied my points because they got me confused with my brother . Literally sent me the card with another company's name and told me I couldn't get the bonus because I already had gold and platinum cards which I didn't.
